Morgan’s Portrait Session at Rock Ledge Park

December 3, 2014 4 Comments

Senior Pictures At Rock Ledge Park Grapevine Texas 001

When a young woman contacts me and says “I saw this really weird picture you took of a girl with butterflies flying around her,” then I know she’s the client for me. It means I get to play. And it means this shoot is just as much for me as it is for her. It also means when I put my lace tablecloth around her neck, she probably won’t protest.

This is why I was so excited to shoot Morgan, who never had traditional “senior pictures” when she was a senior in high school. Now that she’s in college, she regrets never having a portrait session. But she didn’t want anything traditional.

The day was freakishly windy, which meant her gorgeous hair would likely pay the price. Only it didn’t. Halfway through the shoot we took down the fifty bobby pins that held her perfect ‘do and made the crazy wind sing for our pictures.

Morgan, thank you for trusting me with these portraits. I love your look and your spirit. You balance sweetness with just enough “edgy,” and I think these photos reflect that. Can we do it again?!? Hahaha!

Thank you Tabitha! I had never heard of this particular location until Morgan suggested it. I still can’t believe this spot is here in Texas. Where have I been?!?
