I always feel honored to be a part of a couple’s wedding, and I’ve seen so many weddings that are beautifully done. But sometimes I get to be a part of a wedding that makes me wish I could do my wedding all over again. This is Michelle and Mike, one of the sweetest, most lovely couples in the world. And for me, their wedding was one for the books.
Besides being wonderful and positively smitten with each other, they had no real agenda for their wedding photographs. They simply wanted the day captured and to spend as little time “posing” for photos as possible. Planned and brought to life by the talented Julie Blakey of Forever Events and Weddings, this wedding had such special touches, including a gourmet food truck, lawn games, fire pits for s’mores, video games, and Jenga blocks so large every guest felt the crash.
The Avalon Legacy Ranch is perfect for couples who want a wedding that’s gorgeous but with the ambiance of a bonfire with friends in your backyard. I can’t wait to be back there again! The talented vendors are as follows: planning and coordinating by Julie Blakey; hair & makeup by Erin Blair; ceremony by the ever-charming Reverend Marty Younkin; flowers by Holly at Fig Floral; catering by Easy Slider Food Truck, cake/desserts by Annie’s Culinary Creations, and DJ service by Dominic Nagella.
