That’s right. Those are butterflies flying out an abandoned house and swarming this young beauty. Because that’s totally normal, right?
This session is all about me flexing my creative muscles, and I’m so thankful Eyde let me mold her for my own selfish needs. This is the first portrait session in a VERY long time that wasn’t about the beautiful subject at all. It was about me. Visions I had in my head (I should see a therapist) and techniques I was dying to try out.
Though it took some preparation and a couple props, I decided I could do shoots like this every day! Such a shame I don’t have brides who want to be swarmed by flying objects during their shoot (but perhaps someday). And although that shredded parasol won’t keep anyone dry, the color was just right, and Eyde knew just how to rock it. Thank you Eyde, Sarah, and Mary for helping me bring this to life!
I love these Eyde shots, Shelley! The parasol pic reminds of a Federico Fellini film. You rock!
Thanks Val! My kids thought I’d lost my mind when I brought that shredded thing home with me. Hahaha!
